Benj Pasek wins EGOT for Pickwick Triplets

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (not Jewish) recently achieved the rare and prestigious EGOT status by winning an Emmy at the 2024 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The songwriting duo earned the Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for their song "Which of the Pickwick Triplets Did It?" featured in the third season of the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building. This win makes them the 20th and 21st individuals to achieve the EGOT, and they are the first creative team to accomplish this milestone together.

Their EGOT journey began in 2017 when they won an Oscar for their song "City of Stars" from La La Land. They followed this with a Tony Award for the original score of Dear Evan Hansen and a Grammy for the cast recording of the same musical. Their latest Emmy win cements their place among the few who have reached this pinnacle in the entertainment industry.
